Located at the south-eastern region of the United States, Florida is ranked the fourth largest populated city in America, ranked 22nd in area. Most of the state sits between the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. The state is populated with several large and well known cities. The capital for Florida is Tallahassee, with other major cities including, Jacksonville, Key West, Miami, Tampa, Orlando, St. Petersburg, Ft. Lauderdale and Hialeah.

Being such a largely populated city, there are many sports teams to go along with the different cities throughout all of Florida. A state that holds three different National Football League teams: Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the most popular of them all, the Miami Dolphins. The Miami Dolphins have been the only team to ever hold a undefeated season. The perfect season, 17-0, is the only pride that Don Shula and Dolphin fans can hold onto. Florida also has two Major League Baseball teams, two National Basketball Association Teams and two National Hockey League teams. Florida is one of the largest sport oriented states in America.

Florida is the second largest city in agriculture. The city is known for oranges and other citrus fruits. They produce over 67% of all citrus fruits a year, with a whopping 74% of all of America’s oranges. The largest economic gross for Floridians is tourism. Florida’s tourism attracts 60 million visitors to the state each year, with location of Disney World, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, and Universal Orlando. Along with many beach towns across Florida, there is no wonder as to why tourism is such a large economic impact on “The Sunshine State.”
