The state capitol of Florida and home to the Florida State University Seminoles and Florida A&M Rattlers. Tallahassee is in the northern part of the state and is the seat of government. Although Tallahassee Regional Airport is not a major airport the city is serviced by Interstate 10 and U.S. 27, U.S. 90 and U.S. 319.

While the city may be famous as the home of the governor, Seminole football and legendary coach Bobby Bowden are probably more synonymous with Tallahassee than any political figure. Bowden is one of the winningest-coaches in college football history and he led FSU to National Championships in 1993 and 1999. The city has another famous resident in the musical realm as it is the home of rapper T-Pain.

Tallahassee, which is located in Leon county also gained national notoriety in the 1970’s but not for the right reasons. On January 8, 1978 Ted Bundy arrived in the state capitol and one week later he entered the Chi Omega sorority house and killed two women. They were just two of the 30+ murders he would confess to before his execution.
